Analytical lab is equipped with the state-of-the-art instruments which are utilized to characterize the chemical and physical properties of the formulated/synthesized material, few of analytical techniques are mentioned below
Microscopic analysis is done by using high-resolution optical microscope (Leica) and Scanning Electron Microscope (Phenom, ICON). SEM is equipped with backscattered detector and EDX (for elemental analysis) with resolution up to nanometer level.
The above instruments are used to analyse the surface properties of material such as size, shape and their chemical identity by elemental analysis. In textile, we used this technique to find the nature of binding of additive molecules on the substrate. We also explore microscopes bulk properties other materials.

The Thermogravimetric (TGA) is technique to use for analysis of thermal stability of material in presence nitrogen and in ambient environment. We explore TGA for analysis of thermal stability of textile additives. TGA is coupled with mass detector so the evolved gas analysis can be done through MS detector and thereby the chemical identification of unknown molecules is possible by using library.
